About CVSourcers

CVSourcers was founded in 2008 on a simple observation: recruitment agencies were spending too much of their billable time on candidate search, and not enough on the client relationships and negotiations that actually close roles. At the time, most "sourcing support" available to UK agencies meant either a generic job board subscription or an overseas data-entry team with no real understanding of the market. Neither solved the actual problem.

We built CVSourcers around a different model: a dedicated team of UK-based resourcers who work inside a single sector deeply enough to know what a strong candidate profile looks like before a client even finishes describing the role. Over 17 years, that's meant building a database that's actively maintained rather than static, a screening process that filters on right-to-work status and role fit rather than just keyword matches, and a sourcing turnaround that agencies can build their own client promises around.

Today we work across warehouse and logistics, driving and transport, manufacturing, office and admin, technical and executive search, supporting more than 200 agency partners across the UK and, increasingly, the US. We've stayed a specialist sourcing partner rather than expanding into direct placement, because the moment we start competing with our clients for the same employer relationships, the trust that makes this model work breaks down. We don't work directly with employers, and we don't intend to.

A role that sits open for two weeks doesn't just cost a client money in overtime — it costs the agency the account. Three changes are driving faster fills in 2026: pre-screened candidate pools refreshed daily rather than quarterly, right-to-work verification done upfront rather than at offer stage, and narrower, more specific briefs that let a sourcing team search directly against known criteria instead of sifting a flood of unsuitable applicants. What "Right-to-Work Verified" Should Actually Mean

The phrase gets used loosely in recruitment marketing. We work exclusively with recruitment agencies — we never approach or place candidates directly with employers. This is a deliberate structural choice: agencies refer us their live vacancies in confidence, and we treat that client relationship as theirs, not ours. If an employer contacts us directly, we redirect them to one of our agency partners rather than taking the placement ourselves.
Our standard turnaround is a shortlist within 48 hours of receiving a full role brief (title, location, salary band, key requirements). Straightforward high-volume roles — warehouse, driving, entry-level admin — are often faster, sometimes same-day if we already hold suitable candidates in the database. Specialist or senior roles can take slightly longer as we widen the search, but we'll flag that upfront rather than let a deadline slip silently.
Our core strength is warehouse and logistics, driving and transport, and manufacturing and production, reflecting where the bulk of our 50,000+ candidate database sits. We also actively source for office and admin, finance and accounting, technology and IT, sales and commercial, engineering, and healthcare roles, though volume and speed can vary more by sector and region for these.
If the candidates we send don't match the brief, we re-source at no additional cost within 5 days. In practice this is rare when the original brief was accurate, since our resourcers push back on vague briefs before searching rather than guessing. If the mismatch is on our end, we treat it as our error to fix, not yours.
Yes — every candidate we put forward has had right-to-work status checked before being added to a shortlist. We ask for and verify the relevant documentation (passport, visa, or share code, depending on status) as a standard part of our screening process, not as an optional add-on.
We can deliver candidate profiles in whatever format works best for your existing systems — direct upload templates, CSV exports formatted to common ATS import specs, or manual entry support for smaller agencies without a formal ATS.
